Cockscomb Crested flowers are also known as Celosia and Woolflowers.  The word Cockscomb comes from their appearance that resembles a rooster’s comb.  Even though Cockscomb flowers are beautiful to look at, they are also known as a nutritious leafy vegetable.  These edible, ornamental flowering plants grow in many different vibrant colors.  They don’t need a lot of attention and they reseed themselves and come up sporadically in their immediate areas.
